JAMN (that’s JAMN like “damn”) was formed in 2022 by friends Jacob, Matthew and Ilona, Pacific Northwest natives looking to try something different after growing up singing in choir. With a host of interesting characters rounding out the eight piece ensemble, defining characteristics have come to encompass marginal social skills, sardonic attitudes, and questionably appropriate repartee. Paired with averagely complex chord progressions and the honest attempt at tight syncopation, JAMN has developed a presence in the Seattle music scene after recognition in 2022's Shorelake Arts Battle of the Bands, and back to back Halloween night features at Seattle’s largest Jam session, Mo’Jam Mondays. Inspired by soul, funk, R&B, and jazz, the band writes with the intention of blending these classic sounds into the modern pop atmosphere. Their debut EP "Jamn Like Damn" released last June and their new single "Ride With Me" released last December.
